Who is responsible

Server logs
When you open a page, our server records technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's user agent. We use these records only to run and secure the website, on the basis of our legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)), and delete them after a limited period unless they are needed to investigate an incident.
Enquiries and quote requests
The website has no forms that send data to us. A quote request or the contact form opens your own email app or WhatsApp with a prepared message, and nothing is sent until you send it. We use what you send, such as your name, company, contact details and VAT number, to answer you and prepare an offer (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and keep it as long as needed for that and for our legal obligations. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
Storage in your browser
The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser keeps the devices in your quote and that you have read the development notice in its local storage, and the contact details and notes you enter on the quote page until you close the tab. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a restriction of its use, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to its use. Write to sales@desmotec.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
